Built by Lowden in 2023, but just released to dealers, this is a rare one of one guitar from Lowden. Built with all AAAA woods- Sitka for the top and cherry for the sides and back, this guitar was meant to lead a new wood combination offering, but securing a reliable supply of the highest grade cherry proved challenging

Cherry as a Tone Wood 

Cherry on the back and sides sits closer to mahogany than to rosewood: focused midrange, a dry snap on the attack, and less low-end bloom than Indian or Honduran rosewood. Cherry tends to sound a little sweeter and more open than straight mahogany — clear trebles, enough warmth to keep a spruce or cedar top from getting thin, and a quicker response that suits fingerstyle and light-to-medium strumming. It doesn’t have rosewood’s overtone haze, so notes stay separated. On a well-built guitar it ages toward a honeyed, slightly glassy voice rather than getting darker and heavier.

Additional appointments include an abalone rosette, Pau Ferro binding, Madagascan Rosewood bridge, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, a book matched ancient bog oak faceplate, ebony fretboard, and a rosewood back strip to compliment the beautifully bookmatched cherry.

International Orders: Contact us to make a purchase for international delivery. All international orders must be pre-paid via non-revocable funds and clear before shipping- there are no exceptions. A shipping quote will be provided prior to purchase.

Returns:

Web orders- returns accepted within 5 days of delivery for new products and a refund is issued minus the cost of return shipping or a customer may ship back at own expense for a full refund.

In-Person purchases- returns are accepted within 5 days of purchase for new products.

Show Returns- For purchases made at shows, expo's, or meets, the return period for new items expires at the conclusion of the show's scheduled hours and dates.

Used and demo items are sold as described and may not be returned unless they arrive materially different than described. In-person purchases of used items are sold As-Is.

All returns must be in original packaging and in original, unused condition. Damages and signs of use will be assessed and charged against a refund if found.

Shipping damage- If products are damaged during shipping, it must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt. All packaging must be retained until a damage claim is complete.
