Cirrus COO-LD 13 Fret Sunburst Adirondack and Rosewood

Cirrus C00-LDB Full Body Sunburst

Handmade in the USA by Mike Franks and the team at Cirrus Guitars, the C00-LDB is a deep-body take on the classic L-00 / Nick Lucas style. It captures the compact, slope-shouldered appeal of the 1930s small-body guitars that defined blues and folk while delivering surprising depth and versatility for modern players.

This example features a resonant Adirondack spruce top over rosewood back and sides, finished in a rich sunburst under a smooth satin nitrocellulose lacquer. The deep 4¾" body (paired with a 13-fret neck joint) shifts the bridge farther into the lower bout, enhancing bass response without sacrificing clarity or the focused, intimate voice of a true small-body instrument. Hand-scalloped Adirondack bracing, a comfortable 1¾" nut width, and the short 24.9" scale length give it excellent playability for both fingerstyle work and light strumming.

The result is a balanced, articulate guitar that shines on folk, blues, singer-songwriter material, and anything that benefits from clarity with a bit of extra bottom end. Lightweight, responsive, and built with traditional methods and premium materials, the C00-LDB offers outstanding value among American-made boutique instruments.
