The Furch Pioneer EM is a compact, all-solid travel guitar built for players who don’t want to compromise on tone just because they’re packing light. Designed as Furch’s most accessible all-solid mini model, it delivers a surprisingly big, rich voice in a short-scale package that’s equally at home on the couch, in the studio, or on the road.

At the heart of the Pioneer EM is a solid Engelmann spruce top paired with solid African mahogany back and sides. That combination gives you a quick, responsive attack, warm mids, and a clear but controlled top end—ideal for fingerstyle, light strumming, and songwriting sessions where you still want nuance and dynamics. Furch’s individual soundboard voicing and the Booster Soundport help the guitar project far beyond its footprint, letting you hear more of your own playing while keeping the tone open and balanced. 

The short 615 mm / 24.2" scale and compact body make it extremely comfortable, while the Furch CNR System® Active neck construction automatically maintains consistent string action as conditions change—so it stays easy to play over the long haul. An open-pore finish, black binding, transparent pickguard, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and included high-protection gig bag round out a build that feels more like a serious instrument than a “travel compromise.” 

If you want a true Furch voice in a smaller, go-anywhere format, the Pioneer EM is built to live with you—not in the case.

Free standard shipping within the Continental U.S. Delivery typically takes 5-8 business days. Express Shipping is available for an additional charge.

Returns:

Web orders- returns accepted within 5 days of delivery for new products and a refund is issued minus the cost of return shipping or a customer may ship back at own expense for a full refund.

In-Person purchases- returns are accepted within 5 days of purchase for new products.

Show Returns- For purchases made at shows, expo's, or meets, the return period for new items expires at the conclusion of the show's sheduled hours and dates.

Used and demo items are sold as described and may not be returned unless they arrive materially different than described. In-person purchases of used items are sold As-Is.

All returns must be in original packaging and in original, unused condition. Damages and signs of use will be assessed and charged against a refund if found.

Shipping damage- If products are damaged during shipping, it must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt. All packaging must be retained until a damage claim is complete.
