Furch Backstage Yellow Gc-SJ a C10 Sitka and Quilted Sapeli

Furch Backstage Yellow Gc-SJ a C10
Solid AAA Sitka Spruce / Quilted Sapele

The Backstage Yellow Gc-SJ a C10 is a limited-edition Grand Auditorium cutaway built exclusively for Furch’s 2026 Backstage event. It takes the well-balanced foundation of the popular Yellow series and pairs an individually voiced AAA-grade solid Sitka spruce top with striking solid quilted sapele back and sides—an exotic combination not offered in the regular catalog.

Sitka spruce delivers clear, even response with strong projection and excellent dynamic range. The quilted sapele brings a warm, responsive midrange with a pleasing attack and a visual depth of figure that sets this instrument apart from standard rosewood-backed Yellow models. The result is a balanced, articulate voice with both clarity and warmth, well suited to fingerstyle, flatpicking, and everything in between.

The Grand Auditorium body with cutaway offers comfortable access to the upper frets while retaining the projection and low-end presence players expect from this popular shape. Playability is further refined by Furch’s CNR System® Active neck joint, which maintains consistent string action across changing humidity and allows precise adjustments without traditional neck resets. The African mahogany neck features Furch’s Soft V profile and a 1 3/4″ (45 mm) nut.

Appointments include faux tortoise binding with a white contrast line, multi-line purfling, and an abalone double-ring rosette. The Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish is thin enough to preserve resonance while highlighting the dramatic figure of the quilted sapele. Includes a durable hard-shell case. Made in the Czech Republic.
